2015年4月15日，全国空气质量形势普遍恶化，东西南北，各有不幸。东北地区继续遭受境内外大面积生物质（森林、枯木、残枝）燃烧火点影响，空气质量恶化范围扩大。华北和西北再次遭受较严重的沙尘和浮尘影响，内蒙、陕甘宁、山西北部和京津冀出现大面积PM10污染。南方各地臭氧影响加重，广东出现大面积臭氧污染，广西、云南、贵州部分地区继续出现臭氧污染。四川盆地PM2.5和臭氧污染交替，华东地区PM2.5和二氧化氮污染交替，湖南出现较大面积PM2.5污染。南北疆各地PM2.5或PM10污染继续，但较前一日程度减轻。MODIS卫星图片上，生物质燃烧形成的烟羽纵扫东北全境（10:30AM)，京津冀黄沙、浮尘漫天（1：30PM）。
